About 2 months ago, we began taking art lessons at the local yoga studio. We go every Friday night (before Happy Hour!) It's a great way to end the demands of the week. Our teacher speaks mostly Arabic, providing lots of laughs as we try to understand her explanations. There's just a few other Lebanese adults in the class. We really enjoy it. And we're doing some great stuff! These are the first paintings that we brought home. We selected pictures from magazines, sketched with pencils, then painted with acrylics. What do you think???

Thanks to all of you who remembered my birthday!! We've been so busy lately that I hadn't thought much about it. Thankfully, Derek had. He surprised me all day long with various goodies. Tuesday night turned into a bit of a party with the people in our building, which was another great surprise. It's always nice to be with friends on your birthday. Thanks again!!
